"Midrange is where the stars align for Ponderosa... Ponderosa is full and warm, the colouration from the bass shelf carrying across in an almost linear fashion through the mids. There’s plenty of detail here, though that’s probably because mids are thrust front and centre. It’s still a drier sound, favouring clarity over earthiness, but it’s also cushioned by the overall warmth of the tuning."
